Seeing my story through different eyes...

If you have not already done so, please check out Mandy's blog, Since My Divorce.  Today is the second post in her series about my story and I am so pleased with how she is presenting it.

  1. It really is something, isn't it? And it's different seeing your story on Mandy's site than how you wrote it here not that long ago. So if anyone thinks they already know this story, I still encourage you to check out Since My Divorce.

  2. April - When I first wrote my "About Me" I was very conscious of trying to summarize and not go into all the gory details. Some of it was for privacy reasons, some of it was that I wasn't sure what parts of the story were "relevant" to readers. When I talked with Mandy for this series I just laid everything out there and decided to see what she took from it.

As it turns out, she is going into much more detail than I did. I am OK with that and it is freeing and scary at the same time.

This is such a learning experience for me and I am so grateful for her sharing my story and all of the support I have received from all of you who are reading it.

  3. Debbie, you have an incredible story. I started reading and couldn't stop. You are incredibly strong. I raised 3 boys on my own and back when my kids were little was a social worker also. There are a lot of similarities in your story and I was taken back to a time when my children were small.

You could easily write a book and I think you should. : ) OF course, this is just my opinion, but I would buy it.

  4. Daniela - Thanks for the support. I have often thought about writing a book but find a million reasons why I won't be able to do it. But who knows, maybe someday!
